Okay, so me and my friend are planning on moving to Austin, we wanna know what parts of the city are the safest, fun and affordable. Any additional knowledge would be great. Thank you!|||I have lived in austin for a while now and have lived in some of the WORST parts of the city. If you are looking for the better safer apartment areas, go for the NW area of town. There are always tons of apartments near the arboretum area and there are also a lot of them off Far West and Mopac that are affordable. They aren't the best quality b/c they're all pretty old, but the neighborhood isn't too bad, just a lot of college students. Stay away from pretty much the whole East side of the city if you're looking for a safe neighborhood. And definately, DO NOT look to the Rundberg area of town. Good luck!|||Austin Texas.
